The Speaker of Somaliland’s House of Representatives has resigned.
Speaker Abdirisak Khalif Ahmed announced his shocking resignation on Sunday.
He is originally from Las Anod.
Lately, he has come under increasing pressure from different quarters on his stance on Las Anod.
Speaker Ahmed did not provide further details on the reasons for his resignation.
He has been against the involvement of Somaliland’s military in the Las Anod skirmishes.
