Somalia’s Special Envoy for Drought Response is to travel to Puntland on July 14.
Information from Abdirahman Abdishakur’s office shows that he will be in the regional state of Puntland to honor an invitation from Abdirashid Yusuf Jibril.
Abdishakur is the Special Envoy for Drought Response.
Jibril is the Speaker of the Puntland Parliament.
Speaker Jibril has invited Abdishakur to Puntland to allow the latter an opportunity to evaluate the impact of the ongoing drought in the region.
Abdishakur is also expected to familiarize himself with the humanitarian situation in Puntland.
