The SSC-Khaatumo administration has issued a set of conditions that must be met before releasing prisoners of war from Somaliland.
Abdiqadir Jama Aw-Aali Firdhiye, the SSC-Khaatumo leader, outlined the conditions on Wednesday.
Several Somaliland soldiers were arrested in the recent war between them and SSC-Khaatumo forces in the Sool region.
According to Firdhiye, the first condition is the cessation of all kinds of provocations by Somaliland against SSC-Khaatumo.
Secondly, Firdhiye expects both sides to sign a comprehensive peace agreement before any Somaliland military officer is released.
The SSC-Khaatumo mentioned that all the 229 Somaliland army prisoners of war are held at two prisons in Las Anod.
