A suspect involved in the shooting to death of a Somali Police Force (SPF) officer has been arrested.
SPF officers said that they arrested the suspect on Friday.
An officer identified as Osman Salad was shot and killed on Thursday evening while distributing Iftar food to the needy in a Mogadishu neighborhood.
According to the police, the man is a close friend of the slain officer.
The man, whose name has not been given yet, admitted to shooting the policeman three times.
