Water levels at Shabelle River have reached incredibly low levels.
This is the warning that the Somali Water and Land Information Management (SWALIM) issued on January 10.
According to SWALIM’s warning, the “historically low levels” are most noticeable around Beletweyne.
The low levels have been the feature of early January 2022.
The area that’s currently experiencing these low levels provides water for around 2 million people around the riverine districts.
