Swedish and the United Nations representatives visited the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center run by the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) on Tuesday.
Officials from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) were also present.
They spent time with the SODMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim and other senior officials of the disaster management agency.
Moallim used the opportunity to showcase the agency’s facilities, which include the early warning center as well as NEOC.
SIDA, SODMA, and the UN teams agreed to undertake joint disaster management initiatives.
