The talks between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the Federal Member States (FMS) ended in Mogadishu.
The talks took place on Monday, September 12.
Leaders from the regional states around the country arrived for the meeting over the weekend.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chaired the discussions, which centered on various issues affecting the country today.
First, the leaders agreed to expedite the drought response.
Secondly, they lauded the counterterrorism measures taking place in different parts of the country under the guidance of Somali security forces.
The leaders also commended local communities for partnering with the security forces to eradicate terrorism from their midst.
Fourth, they agreed on the need for speeding up talks on Somaliland.
