Somaliland and Somalia have formed a technical committee to organize the negotiations between the two countries.
Discussions between the two nations resumed in Djibouti when President Musa Bihi Abdi of Somaliland met President Mohamed Farmaajo of Somalia on Sunday.
For decades, Somaliland and Somalia have been at loggerheads when the former broke off its union with the latter in 1991.
Since then, Somalia has sought to bring Somaliland, which it continues to view as one of its provinces, back to the fold.
However, Somaliland insists that its union with Somalia took place voluntary; hence, it has to be treated as a separate state.
