Terrorists are losing on the battlefield, Somalia’s Minister of Interior Affairs has said.
Ahmed Fiqi, the interior affairs minister said this on Wednesday.
In his speech, the minister claimed that Al-Shabaab terrorists continue to lose the war on the battlefield hence their reason for targeting innocent civilians.
He was speaking a few days after terrorists attacked the Ministry of Education offices in Mogadishu’s K-5 Junction.
The attack, which took place on October 29 has thus far killed over 120 people.
It has left more than 300 people injured.
According to Fiqi, the terrorists are unable to fight Somalia’s security forces. Instead, they opt to attack people going about their daily lives.
He described the actions of the terrorists as the “ultimate act of cowardice.”
