Three leaders of the Somalia’s Federal Member States (FMS) met for discussions in Mogadishu on Saturday.
President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland, President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta-Gareen of Southwest, and President Mohamed Abdi Ware of HirShabelle met in the nation’s capital today.
The leaders, together with their colleagues President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland and President Ahmed Abdi Karite Qoorqoor, are in Mogadishu for election talks.
They were expected to kick off their meeting with President Mohamed Farmaajo of the Federal Government of Somalia on September 12.
Although details of the meeting remain a bit scanty, it is understood that the three regional leaders discussed the current political situation in the country.
