At least three Kenyans lost their lives when Al-Shabaab militants carried out deadly attacks along the Kenya-Somalia border.
The attack took place over the weekend.
Authorities confirmed that the militants carried out attacks in Mandera County, which is in the northeastern part of the country.
Two attacks were reported in the region on Saturday.
Rono Bunei, the Regional Police Commander in Mandera County, confirmed the incident to the media. He said that three other people suffered injuries during the attacks.
Bunei stated that members of the militia group sprayed a car carrying three people with bullets. The vehicle was on its way from Fino to Mandera Town.
The first incident took place at Kamor Bahaw on Saturday. One woman, who was being transported to hospital for medical treatment, lost her life in this incident.
Later, militants sprayed a second car with bullets this killing a father and his son.
