Three people lost their lives as an African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) helicopter crashed in Lower Shabelle.
The chopper crashed on Sunday in Baledogle.
At the time of the incident, the chopper had 11 passengers.
ATMIS issued a statement confirming the incident.
The organization mentioned that the chopper was part of the joint familiarization training mission for Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC) drills.
It carried out the drills with Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers when the incident occurred.
Mohamed El-Amine Souef, the Head of ATMIS, commiserated with the families of those killed or injured in the incident.
