Three Somaliland journalists arrested by authorities and detained in Las Anod can finally enjoy their freedom again.
Somaliland police officers arrested the journalists on December 26-30.
The first journalist fell into police hands on December 26 while the other two became guests of the state on December 30.
After days of complaints from different quarters, all the three journalists can enjoy their freedom once again.
The state released them without charges on January 3.
Meanwhile, Abdalle Ahmed Mumin, the Secretary General of the Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS), warned authorities to stop threatening and intimidating journalists.
Specifically, Mumin mentioned the Governor of Sool Region who ordered for the illegal arrest of the three journalists.
