A Turkish agency installed greenhouses in Somalia to improve agricultural production in the country.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) installed the greenhouses at the Mogadishu University as well as the Mogadishu Central Prison.
The greenhouses come with agricultural equipment, fertilizers, and pesticides.
They are also accompanied by machinery designed to enable farmers to perform tasks such as seeding and harvesting more efficiently.
While launching the greenhouses, TIKA officials expressed hope that the infrastructure would encourage local production.
