The Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission (TPEC) has appointed a disputes resolution commission for the upcoming polls.
TPEC announced the 7-member committee that will handle all disputes arising out of the upcoming local government elections (LGEs).
The regional state of Puntland is scheduled to hold its LGEs from May 25, 2023.
There have been concerns from various parties regarding the polls.
Many politicians have called for the postponement of the polls to give all stakeholders a chance to resolve their differences.
