Guled Salah, the Chairman of the Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission (TPEC), urged political parties in the region to avoid political fraud.
Salah spoke on October 21 while addressing the media.
He also encouraged voters to avoid anything capable of disrupting the ongoing electoral process.
The TPEC leader spoke as Puntland prepares for historic local government polls that are scheduled to kick off on Monday, October 25.
The upcoming elections are historic by virtue of Puntland being the first regional state to hold one-person-one-vote (1P1V) polls in Somalia.
