Traditional leaders have organized a reconciliatory meeting between President Said Abdullahi Deni and the Deputy President Ahmed E. Osman (Karaash).
The two leaders have been at loggerheads for some time, especially in recent weeks when their differences have become public.
Last week on Monday, Karaash hit out at his boss in public by saying that President Deni had sidelined him when appointing several senior public officials.
During an interview with BBC Somalia, Karaash also accused President Deni of failing to consult him when making decisions, which is in contravention of what the State Constitution stipulates.
The decision by traditional leaders to bring the two leaders together follows a similar move by the Puntland Non-State Actors Association (PUNSAA).
On Wednesday, PUNSAA said that it had set the ball rolling in ensuring that the two leaders work together for the benefit of every person in Puntland.
