Hundreds of travelers were left stranded at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu over delayed payments.
Golden Horn Security, the firm that provides K9 services at the airport, complained that it had not been paid for several months.
Consequently, security checks were disrupted massively thus inconveniencing travelers.
The situation meant that passengers’ luggage could not be loaded to the planes.
Such luggage can only be loaded to the planes after thorough checks through sniffer or K9 dogs
Some of the staff from Golden Horn Security did not turn up for work.
Nevertheless, the situation improved massively shortly after talks between Golden Horn Security and the government kicked off to resolve the issue.
