Trucks Ferrying Supplies to Hudur Arrive Safely under Military Escort

Several trucks that were ferrying tons of supplies to Hudur arrived in the region safely on February 3.

The trucks arrived under heavy security escort provided by the Somali military.

Reports show that the trucks were stranded in Elbarde for several days due to increased insecurity.

They were forced to stop at Elbarde following the increased attacks by Al-Shabaab militants in the region.

For a long time, the extremists have been attacking and destroying the trucks traveling between Hudur and Elbarde.

The two towns are in Bakol, a region known for the large number of militants.
