Mehmet Yilmaz, the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, discussed Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) with Khalif A. Omar on November 19.
Ambassador Yilmaz met Omar, Somalia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, at the latter’s office in Mogadishu.
The agreement is designed to boost trade between the two nations.
During Omar’s meeting with Ambassador Yilmaz, they also discussed the need for strengthening bilateral trade between the European nation and its East African ally.
Other areas of discussion they dwelled on include trade facilitation and balance.
Under the TEPA agreement, Turkey provides Somalia with solutions that would see the latter’s imports to the former increase manifold.
