Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, met the owner of a company that was targeted by Al-Shabaab militia in Mogadishu late last week.
Cavusoglu met Hidayet Zorlu, who owns En-Ez, a Turkish firm whose employees were attacked by militants in a deadly incident in the East African nation.
En-Ez personnel were attacked while constructing the Mogadishu-Afgoye Road.
Two of the company’s workers lost their lives. Several Somali workers also died in the deadly incident while others were injured.
Zorlu met the foreign affairs minister in the latter’s office in Ankara.
The two, who met in the company of Yavuz Selim Kiran, the Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke about the deadly incident on January 2, 2021.
