Witnesses reported hearing the loud explosions today morning.
Several gunshots rent the air shortly afterward.
The source or cause of the explosions and the subsequent gunshots remains unknown.
However, there are fears that Al-Shabaab is behind them.
Bardhere is a town in Gedo region.
Recently, tension has been rife between Gedo leaders and Jubbaland’s President Ahmed Madobe.
