Two soldiers from Jubbaland have been executed after the military court found them guilty of murder.
Jubbaland Armed Forces Court ordered the execution of the two soldiers.
The two soldiers – Wayrah Khalif Yusuf and Yusuf Hussein Abdi – were executed by a firing squad on Saturday, November 19.
Their execution took place several months after Jubbaland Armed Forces Court found them guilty.
Yusuf and Abdi were sentenced to death on June 29, 2022.
Yusuf was found guilty of killing a woman identified as Halima Ali Robow while Abdi was executed for killing Abdullahi Ali Suli.
Suli was a Somali National Army (SNA) soldier.
Yusuf killed Halima on November 25, 2020, while Abdi committed the crime on November 17, 2020.
