Two satellite-tagged Amur Falcons have arrived in Somalia after traveling for more than 5,000 kilometers each.
The falcons, christened Chiulon and Irang, traveled 5,700kms and 5,400kms respectively.
Chiulong set off on the journey on November 11 while Irang would begin traveling to the East African destination on November 12.
Prior to the journey, both birds spent close to 20 days in Manipur and other surrounding areas.
Scientists monitoring their movement said that the two birds traveled five-and-a-half days nonstop to get to their destination.
Chiulon and Irang were on their second year of migration.
