The United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Somalia visited President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Mogadishu.
Ambassador Mohamed Ahmed Al-Othman visited the new Somali leader on Sunday, June 5.
The meeting between President Mohamud and Ambassador Othman took place at Villa Somalia.
President Mohamud and Ambassador Othman discussed wide-ranging issues affecting their respective nations.
A statement from the UAE Embassy in Mogadishu indicated that the two leaders mostly discussed ways of strengthening the bilateral relations between their respective nations.
Ambassador Othman has spent the last few days meeting different Somali leaders.
