Kate Foster, the United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia, held a meeting with one of the country’s opposition leaders on August 10.
Ambassador Foster met with Abdirahman Abdishakur, the leader of the opposition Wadajir Party on Saturday.
During their meeting, they discussed the current political situation in Somalia.
Additionally, Ambassador Foster and Abdishakur exchanged their views on the ongoing elections in the East African nation.
Further, they discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations between their respective nations.
The United Kingdom remains one of Somalia’s most important international partners.
