The United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia visited President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at the Presidential Palace on Sunday.
Ambassador Mike Nithavrianakis was at Villa Somalia for talks with President Mohamud.
They discussed ways of enhancing the strategic partnership that Somalia and the UK historically enjoy.
Mohamud also asked Amb. Nithavrianakis to convey his heartfelt congratulations to the new Prime Minister of the UK.
Sir Keir Starmer was elected the new Prime Minister of the UK in elections held late last week.
