The United States is committed to help Somalia to tackle the problem of violent extremism.
This emerged on Tuesday when Ambassador Richard H. Riley held discussions with Minister of Internal Security Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag.
Riley, the US Ambassador to Somalia, held talks with the internal security minister at the US Embassy.
They discussed ways in which the US could support the ministry’s goals.
Furthermore, Amb. Riley and Fartaag both agreed on the importance of disrupting the financial networks and systems of terrorists in Somalia.
