Kate Foster, the United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia, visited the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Mogadishu.
Ambassador Foster paid Abshir Omar Jama a courtesy call at his office on August 18.
The two leaders discussed wide-ranging issues when they met.
First, Ambassador Foster congratulated Jama on his appointment as Somalia’s new foreign affairs minister.
She wished him lasting success in the tasks that he has been assigned.
Furthermore, Foster assured Jama that the United Kingdom would continue supporting Somalia as a partner and ally.
They discussed ways of strengthening relations between Somalia and the UK too.
