The United Kingdom has assured Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble of its support for the upcoming National Consultative Council (NCC) Conference.
The conference was supposed to have kicked off on Monday, December 27.
However, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s attempt to suspend Prime Minister Roble killed those plans.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Roble received a call from Vicky Ford.
Vicky Ford is not only the Member of Parliament (MP) for Chelmsford, but also the Minister for Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Ford assured Prime Minister Roble that the UK supports his call for the NCC conference.
Further, she assured Roble of the UK government’s support as he continues leading Somalia towards holding free, fair, and transparent elections.
