Adam Abdelmoula met with Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre to brief him on United Nations’ drought response plans for Somalia.
Abdelmoula visited Prime Minister Barre in Mogadishu on Thursday, August 18.
Abdelmoula is the Deputy Special of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia.
He assured the Prime Minister that the UN has improved its efforts to contribute to the ongoing drought response in Somalia.
On his part, Prime Minister Barre called for closer cooperation and coordination with government institutions.
He also urged local and international agencies to maximize the reach and impact of their response efforts.
