The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) convenes on Wednesday, September 7 to discuss Somalia.
James Swan, the UN Special Representative to Somalia, will brief the UNSC members on the current situation in the East African nation.
Among the issues that he’s expected to highlight include security, which is critical following the recently increased terror attacks by Al-Shabaab.
Further, UN Special Envoy Swan is scheduled to provide the UNSC with updates on the ongoing drought and humanitarian situation in Somalia.
