James Swan, the United Nations Special Envoy to Somalia, has urged the country’s leaders to “demonstrate leadership” to solve the ongoing electoral crisis.
The UN Special Envoy made these comments in Garowe where he held a meeting with Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni on January 25.
On Monday, Swan encouraged all political actors in the East African nation to demonstrate the requisite leadership.
He said that the country is deprived of the necessary political leadership needed to navigate the existing elections impasse.
Furthermore, Swan also encouraged the country’s leaders to offer more solutions rather than excuses before they run out of time.
