The United Nations, in its ongoing support for peace and reconciliation efforts in Somalia, recently collaborated with the Hirshabelle Ministry of Interior and Local Government to organize a two-day workshop in Jowhar.
The workshop brought together 50 elders from the Middle Shabelle region, focusing on enhancing clan mediation processes.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to promote stability and cohesion in the region by strengthening traditional conflict resolution mechanisms.
The involvement of local elders is crucial in facilitating dialogue and resolving disputes within the clan structure, contributing to sustainable peace in Hirshabelle.
