The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has been celebrating its 28 years in Somalia.
UNHCR is marking its presence in Somalia while celebrating its 70th Anniversary.
The global organization was founded on December 14, 1950 before it made its way into the East African nation in 1992.
While commemorating the 28 years of its presence in Somalia, UNHCR recognized the “strong partnerships” it has formed with several agencies of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
It also recommitted itself to working closely with other partners to find durable solutions for the refugee problem that continues to rock Somalia.
