UNICEF Needs $12 Million for Drought Health Response in Somalia

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says that it needs up to $12 million for drought health response in Somalia.

UNICEF said that it needs the funds to run an effective drought health response from May to December 2022.

The organization said this on Tuesday, May 31 while issuing the latest updates on the ongoing drought in Somalia.

In its update, UNICEF indicated that 900,000 Somali children need vaccination against measles.

Moreover, it also needs the funds to provide emergency health care to over 465,569 Somalis who include 17,881 children under 5 years of age.
