Wafaa ElFadil Saeed Abdelatef, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative to Somalia, visited Beletweyne to discuss humanitarian needs.
The UNICEF Representative visited the region on Tuesday.
She held discussions with various regional leaders on the humanitarian needs of Beletweyne and the surrounding areas.
She also discussed the appropriate responses to the ensuing challenges.
Wafaa told local leaders that UNICEF continues to prioritize assistance to women and children who live in hard-to-reach and most-affected areas.
