United Nations Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) has joined other Somalis in mourning the death of the country’s former Prime Minister, Nur Hassan Hussein.
The 83-year old former Prime Minister died on Wednesday in London from COVID-19.
UNSOM has expressed its sadness at the demise of Hussein, who served as the country’s Prime Minister between 2007 and 2009.
It extended deepest condolences to the former leader’s family.
Several leaders, among them President Mohamed Farmaajo, have sent their messages of condolences to Somalis over the death of the Horn of Africa country’s former leader.
