The United States and United Kingdom have been encouraged to grant Somaliland international recognition.
A former US Attorney General issued the encouragement on Wednesday.
He was joined in issuing the call by an ex-Secretary of Defense.
Sir Michael Ellis and Sir Gavin Williamson said that the UK and US have to act fast.
They issued the call to US President Joe Biden as well as the UK government.
