The United States Assistant Secretary of State hosted discussions on Somalia.
According to the Bureau of African Affairs, Molly Phee hosted the discussions that attracted participants from Somalia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
Turkey also had its representatives at the discussions.
They all met in Washington, DC on Tuesday where issues touching on Somalia came under discussion and review.
Specifically, participants at the talks discussed ways of supporting the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists in Somalia better.
They talked about ways of supporting the looming withdrawal of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) forces better.
