The United States government has condemned the improvised explosive device (IED) attack that killed a director of Radio Muqdisho.
Abdiaziz Afrika, the Radio Muqdisho director, lost his life when a suicide bomber attacked the station’s offices in Mogadishu on November 20.
Afrika had been outspoken in his criticism of the Al-Shabaab militia group.
On Sunday, Ned Price, the Spokesperson of the US State Department, spoke out against the deadly attack.
Price said that the US condemns the attack in the strongest terms possible.
Further, he spoke of the stance the US government holds against all forms of terrorism.
In his statement, Price assured Somalia that the US stands not only with free media but also against terror.
