The United States military has confirmed conducting an airstrike against Al-Shabaab in Bulobarde town.
The US Africa Command (AFRICOM) issued a press release dated October 25 narrating the sequence of events that took place.
In the press release, AFRICOM admitted that its personnel carried out the drone attack on October 23.
It worked closely with the Somali government during the airstrike.
AFRICOM stated that the airstrike was in response to the attack by Al-Shabaab terrorists targeting Somali National Army (SNA) forces near the town.
The organization confirmed killing two Al-Shabaab terrorists.
It reiterated that no civilian was either injured or killed in the drone attack.
