US Places $5 Million Bounty on Senior Al-Shabaab Commander

The United States government has placed a $5 million bounty on the head of a senior Al-Shabaab commander.

The US government indicates that it would pay a reward of $5 million to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the Al-Shabaab leader.

Jehad Serwan Mostafa is the senior Al-Shabaab commander in question.

According to the US officials, he is one of the leaders of the terrorist group in Somalia.

As per the information that the US government provided, Mostafa is also known as Ahmed Gurey.

Some of his duties include leading Al-Shabaab operations, training new recruits, and directing terror attacks in not only Somalia but also elsewhere in East Africa.

Currently, Mostafa is on the list of the Most Wanted Terrorists prepared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

He has already appeared before a US federal court on terrorism-related charges.
