The leader of opposition Wadajir Party has called Somalis to be ready to take to the streets in Mogadishu in the coming days.
Abdirahman Abdishakur, the Wadajir Party leader, made these comments on December 30.
He said that presidential candidates from the opposition are ready to lead huge demonstrations in the streets of the capital.
Abdishakur said that they are not afraid of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Recently, Somalis in different parts of the country have taken to the streets to protest delayed elections and other issues of concern.
“None of us is afraid of taking part in the protests,” Wadajir Party leader said.
The opposition leader, who is his party’s candidate in the 2021 presidential polls, warned that the government would not succeed in intimidating them into silence.
