Wadajir Party Concerned with Delays in Election Schedule

Wadajir Party, one of the opposition parties in Somalia, has expressed concern with delays in electoral schedule.

The party released a press statement dated November 3, 2020 raising several issues.

In its press statement, the party said that it had followed “developments on the implementation of the 2020/2021 electoral process closely.”

According to it, the pace of implementing the agreement is too slow.

Wadajir Party mostly raised concern with the “implementation of the electoral schedule.”

It reminded the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the various stakeholders that the country is scheduled to hold parliamentary elections in December 2020.

The appointment of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the Dispute Resolution Commission (DRC) never went as smoothly as initially envisaged.
