The leader of opposition Wadajir Party has accused President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of providing “failed leadership” to Somalia.
Abdirahman Abdishakur, who leads Wadajir Party, made this statement on January 13.
In his statement, the opposition leader said that Farmaajo had failed to unite and stabilize the entire country.
Farmaajo has served his first term as the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
His first term expires on February 2021 when the East African nation is scheduled to hold its presidential elections.
Furthermore, in Abdishakur’s view, Farmaajo’s failure to work collaboratively with the leaders of the Federal Member States (FMS) has cost the country massively.
Abdishakur faulted Farmaajo’s decision and determination to undermine the leadership of the regional states.
