Hamse Warfa has become the first Somali-American appointee by a sitting United States president.
On January 11, US President Joe Biden appointed Warfa to the US State Department.
In the process, Warfa’s job title is the Senior Advisor, Democracy and Human Rights in the US State Department.
Warfa becomes the latest Somali to excel in a foreign land.
