The World Health Organization (WHO) is to help the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to develop an operational plan for the National Institute of Health.
Somalia has created the National Institute of Health (NIH) to streamline all health operations in the country.
On January 20, during the opening of the two-day workshop, the global health organization announced that it would work with the government to develop NIH’s operational plan.
The two-day workshop is taking place in Mogadishu.
WHO announced that the NIH would help Somalia to manage all its health security threats efficiently in the long-term.
Abdifatah Ahmed, the Director of the National Institute of Health, said that the workshop is crucial in setting the foundation of health in the East African country.
