World Bank Country Manager Briefed on Plans to Provide Water and Energy to Somalis

The World Bank Country Manager for Somalia has received a briefing on the government’s plans to provide water and energy to the people of Somalia.

Kristina Svensson, World Bank’s Country Manager for Somalia, received this update on Monday, August 29.

Jama Taqal, the federal Minister of Energy and Water Resources, briefed Svensson during their meeting in Mogadishu.

Svensson led a team from the World Bank to pay Taqal a courtesy call at his office.

Taqal assured Svensson that the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) remains committed to the provision of affordable energy and clean water to all Somalis in the country.
