Fahad Yasin, the National Security Advisor to President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, has returned to Mogadishu.
Yasin arrived back to the nation’s capital on September 21.
Last week, the Turkish Airlines plane carrying Yasin was forced to return to Istanbul before any of its passengers disembarked.
There were reports that Djiboutian authorities detained Yasin at the airport.
After a week of uncertainty and confusion regarding the exact reasons for his detention in Djibouti, the plane carrying Yasin arrived back to the country on Tuesday morning.
He is the immediate former Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA). Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble relieved him of his duties.
